₹130 Crore ‘Fatorda to London’ Scam: CM Pramod Sawant Vows No Mercy for Fraudsters.

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding the ₹130 crore job scam, highlighting the scale and international connections of the fraud. Speaking at a press conference, he emphasized the government’s commitment to cracking down on those responsible, stating that properties of the accused will be seized to ensure victims are reimbursed.

The scam reportedly involved fraudulent recruitment schemes targeting job-seekers with promises of government positions in exchange for hefty sums of money. Authorities have arrested 18 individuals so far, including a government employee, with investigations continuing to uncover additional perpetrators. The CM assured that political affiliations will not shield anyone from accountability.

Sawant urged victims to come forward and file grievances to assist in the investigation. Additionally, he confirmed that properties of the accused would be liquidated to expedite compensation for the victims. The case has drawn widespread criticism, with opposition parties questioning the government’s vigilance against such fraudulent activities.
