The Calangute Police arrested two shack employees in Candolim after an alleged assault on three veterinarians, including one woman, at a local beach shack. The incident reportedly began around midnight when a disagreement escalated after the veterinarians confronted the employees about a possible offensive comment directed toward the woman in their group. Following this, two veterinarians were attacked with a bamboo stick, leaving them with injuries requiring medical attention. The female veterinarian was also allegedly mistreated.
The shack owner disputed the claims, suggesting the veterinarians were intoxicated and involved in a separate altercation. She also mentioned they sought additional alcohol despite the shack being closed. Both parties have registered formal complaints, and Calangute Police are investigating the claims further.
