Madhu Naik Calls for Unity and Action Against Marginalization of Bhandari Samaj in Goa.

Madhu Naik, the former Goa State Secretary (Co-opted) of the Gomantak Bhandari Samaj, held a press conference addressing significant issues faced by the community. He expressed concerns regarding the perceived marginalization of the Bhandari Samaj in Goa, especially in light of recent political developments.

During the press conference, Naik emphasized the need for unity among the community members and highlighted instances where the Bhandari Samaj has been overlooked in favor of other groups. He criticized the current leadership for not adequately representing the interests of the Bhandari community and pointed out that many resolutions passed in recent meetings were not beneficial.

Moreover, there was a strong call for action against migrants adopting Goan surnames, particularly “Naik,” to secure benefits under OBC (Other Backward Classes) categories. Naik insisted on a thorough investigation into these cases, asserting that this practice is unjust to genuine Goan citizens and undermines the social structure within the community.
