The scam has even been linked to politicians, leading to public calls for a more thorough investigation, with some demanding a CBI inquiry. Tragically, the fraud has led to the suicide of a victim, underscoring the severity of the situation.

Recently, police have arrested several individuals connected to these fraudulent activities, and more scams continue to be uncovered, with new cases emerging regularly. In one instance, a group of individuals was accused of duping Canacona youth by promising jobs in the Goa Police Department.
