The Curtain Raiser Program for the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI 2024) in Goa promises to showcase the vibrant and diverse landscape of global cinema. The festival will officially begin on November 20, 2024, with a star-studded opening event, featuring the Asia premiere of Better Man, a biographical film about the iconic pop star Robbie Williams. IFFI 2024 will celebrate a diverse lineup of international films, including a special tribute to Indian cinema legends such as Raj Kapoor, Mohammed Rafi, Tapan Sinha, and Akkineni Nageswara Rao. This year’s festival also introduces exciting new programming sections, including Rising Stars, Mission Life, and a focus on Australia as the Country of Focus.

Additionally, there will be screenings of restored classics, showcasing timeless films, and several new awards categories, such as the Best Web Series (OTT) and the Best Indian Debut Director. This edition of IFFI is also set to expand its reach, with screenings across multiple venues in Goa and over 270 films scheduled for display​.
