In a recent press conference, Dr. Bandekar discussed the crucial role of GMCH in advancing medical education and healthcare standards. He also provided updates on the Goa Medical College’s contributions to national and international medical conferences, highlighting its involvement in the prestigious EFICON 2023 event.

GMCH has been at the forefront of organizing significant medical events. Notably, it hosted the IVth National Conference of the Epidemiology Foundation of India (EFICON 2023), which saw participation from over 1,000 healthcare professionals, including experts from WHO, UNICEF, and ICMR. This two-day conference emphasized evidence-based interventions to strengthen India’s healthcare system.
