The 55th edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2024 has unveiled an iconic new mascot that perfectly embodies the spirit of Indian cinema. This year’s mascot features a stunning peacock with a twist—the bird’s head is designed as a camera, representing the artistic and cinematic nature of the festival, while its body remains that of the vibrant national bird of India.
The peacock, a symbol of beauty, creativity, and India’s rich cultural heritage, has been reimagined to reflect the fusion of traditional and modern artistic expressions. The camera head emphasizes IFFI’s focus on filmmaking, showcasing the festival’s celebration of both Indian and global cinema.
This unique design was introduced in a special preview ahead of the festival, which will run from November 20th to 28th in Goa. The mascot aligns with IFFI’s vision of highlighting the global and local film industries, offering a platform for filmmakers, artists, and cinephiles from around the world.
