Benaulim MLA Venzy Viegas recently thanked Goa’s Health Minister Vishwajit Rane for the inauguration of the state’s first dialysis unit at a sub-health center in Carmona, marking a significant milestone in improving healthcare infrastructure. The two-bedded unit is set to start operations, with 46 patients already confirmed. This new facility will offer dialysis services to people from Carmona, Cavelossim, Orlim, and Varca, reducing the need to travel to Margao for treatment. The establishment of the dialysis unit is seen as an important step in building Goa’s medical infrastructure.​
