Leaders from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), including Sanjay Singh, Goa AAP President Amit Palekar, and MLA Capt. Venzy Viegas, recently held a press conference to address the escalating concerns over the Goa job scam. They accused the BJP-led state government of systemic corruption, pointing to recent arrests involving fraudulent job promises in exchange for money. AAP has called for a judicial commission or CBI investigation to ensure transparency and accountability.
The controversy revolves around allegations of a “cash-for-jobs” racket where individuals were duped into paying large sums for non-existent government job postings. Goa Police have made multiple arrests, including that of a Maharashtra-based woman accused of defrauding a family of ₹20 lakh with false promises of railway jobs. Additionally, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant assured strict action against culprits and urged victims to file complaints.
AAP leaders criticized the state government for failing to prevent such scams and reiterated their demand for justice for the victims, highlighting the need for systemic reforms to curb corruption in recruitment processes.
