The Legal Metrology Department recently organized a press conference highlighting a significant initiative under the Swayampurn Goa 2.0 project. The initiative, launched by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, aims to extend the benefits of various government schemes across all sectors, ensuring that assistance reaches individuals who need it the most.

As part of this mission, the department emphasized the importance of packers registration, which supports self-reliance and entrepreneurship. On June 25, 2024, during State Consumer Rights Day at Ravindra Bhavan, around 673 registrations were distributed to self-help groups in Sankhlim​. his webinar serves as a platform to educate packers about the registration process, its significance, and its role in strengthening local self-help groups and promoting self-reliance across Goa.

The event is planned to be conducted at every panchayat and municipal level, showcasing CM Sawant’s commitment to grassroots development and empowering every individual across the state through initiatives that promote economic self-sufficiency.
