In a recent development, fugitive Siddiqi Suleman Khan, accused in multiple land-grabbing cases, surfaced in a video alleging that he was escorted out of Goa by two police teams. The video was shared by Congress leader Sunil Kawthankar, who claims that a pen drive containing the footage was sent to AAP Goa President Amit Palekar’s residence.

In the video, Khan accuses Deputy Speaker Joshua D’Souza and Superintendent of Police (Crime Branch) Rahul Gupta of assaulting him in custody. He further alleges that he was escorted out of the state by a team of 12 police personnel, including officials from the Crime Branch and Old Goa Police Station. Khan expresses fear for his life, suggesting that these influential individuals may harm him.

In response, Director General of Police (DGP) Alok Kumar stated that the video appears to be an attempt to divert attention from the police’s efforts to track down Khan. He emphasized that investigations have not indicated any involvement of police personnel, except for dismissed constable Amit Naik, who is accused of aiding Khan’s escape.
