The All Goa Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) Committee has announced a protest rally in response to recent statements made by Union Home Minister Amit Shah concerning Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The committee has scheduled a public meeting and plans to hold the rally on December 24, starting from Ambedkar Garden and proceeding to Azad Maidan. They are urging Goan citizens and supporters of Dr. Ambedkar to participate in this demonstration.

This initiative aligns with nationwide protests organized by various groups expressing discontent over Shah’s remarks, which have been perceived as derogatory towards Dr. Ambedkar. For instance, the Congress party has planned the ‘Babasaheb Ambedkar Samman March’ to district collectorates across the country on December 24, demanding Shah’s resignation over his comments.
