
The veneration of St. Francis Xavier’s relics has officially concluded, with the sacred remains now being returned to the Basilica of Bom Jesus. A solemn procession led the relics from Se Cathedral back to their resting place at the Basilica, marking the end of a 45-day exposition.
The event, which began on November 21, 2024, attracted thousands of devotees who paid their respects to the saint’s relics. The exposition was accompanied by various religious observances, including Masses, prayer services, and novenas, reflecting the deep spiritual and cultural significance of the occasion.
