Despite the nationwide Swachh Bharat Mission, the area around the Old Goa Police Station is struggling with illegal garbage dumping, prompting concerns from locals. Residents have observed waste being discarded in front of the police station, which raises questions about the effectiveness of cleanliness efforts in the area.

Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, who also serves as Goa’s Home Minister, has been urged by the community to take action. Locals are requesting that he direct police officers to ensure the surroundings of the police station are kept clean, in line with the objectives of the Swachh Bharat Mission, which aims to promote cleanliness and public health across India.
