Amit Palekar Criticizes Repeated Summons by Old Goa Police

Advocate Amit Palekar, the President of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Goa, has voiced concerns after being summoned for the third time by the Old Goa Police regarding the Suleman Khan case. He has expressed his belief that the repeated summons are politically motivated.

Palekar, who was questioned for over an hour, stated, “I am being summoned as though I am an accused, but I am merely a witness.” He also pointed out that the real accused in the case have not been questioned yet.

In his criticism, Palekar called for the interrogation of Deputy Superintendent of Police Suraj Halarnkar and Crime Branch SP, who have faced accusations related to the case. He questioned the fairness of the investigation, highlighting the involvement of the same officers accused in the matter.

The Suleman Khan case involves allegations of land-grabbing, with Suleman currently in judicial custody. Palekar’s continued summons have raised doubts about the transparency and focus of the investigation.
