The 8th edition of the Aqua Goa Mega Fish Festival was inaugurated by Fisheries Minister Nilkant Halarnkar on January 10, 2025, at the SAG Open Field Ground in Campal, Panaji. Organized by the Directorate of Fisheries, the festival highlights Goa’s rich marine biodiversity and fishing traditions.

The event features an Aquarium Gallery displaying a variety of ornamental fish, along with stalls and exhibits showcasing different aspects of the fishing industry. Visitors can explore sustainable fishing practices, seafood delicacies, and cultural performances.

Running from January 10 to 12, the festival offers an opportunity for locals and tourists to engage with Goa’s aquatic heritage and support the local fishing community.
