Advocate Amit Palekar, President of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Goa, has raised concerns after receiving a third summons from the Old Goa Police in connection with the Suleman Khan case. He has criticized the summons as being politically driven, claiming they are unnecessary and part of a targeted effort against him.
Following his recent interrogation, Palekar clarified that he is only a witness in the case, not an accused, and questioned why the actual suspects have not been called in for questioning.
He also pointed to the need for accountability and urged the authorities to interrogate Deputy Superintendent of Police Suraj Halarnkar and Crime Branch SP, who have faced allegations related to the case. Palekar emphasized the need for a fair and transparent investigation, given the involvement of the same officers under scrutiny.
