On January 3, 2025, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant officially launched the 8th Aqua Goa Mega Fish Festival at Campal Ground in Panaji. This much-anticipated event, set to take place from January 10 to 12, 2025, aims to highlight Goa’s thriving fishing industry and promote its blue economy.

During the pre-launch ceremony, CM Sawant emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting and expanding the fishing sector in Goa. He expressed hope that the festival would provide an excellent platform for industry professionals to engage in knowledge sharing, foster business opportunities, and enhance networking within the fishing community.
