On December 12, 2024, Aldona MLA Carlos Alvares Ferreira inaugurated the strengthening works of the eroded portion of the Goljuem (Gauzua) khazan bund in Corjuem. The khazan bunds are vital for protecting agricultural lands from tidal erosion and salinity intrusion. The completed works aim to enhance the resilience of these bunds, ensuring the sustainability of local agriculture and the protection of the environment.
