Aldona MLA Adv. Carlos Alvares Ferreira recently inaugurated the repair work of an existing gutter and the installation of an RCC slab in Ward No. 6 of Nachinola Village Panchayat. The project, undertaken under the MLA-LAD Scheme, is estimated at ₹24.92 lakh and is set to be completed within 90 days. The launch event was attended by Sarpanch Freddy Fernandes and other local representatives.

During the inauguration, Ferreira voiced concerns over the deteriorating condition of roads in the constituency. He emphasized that residents have been waiting too long for road restoration and stated that he is prepared to take legal action to ensure timely repairs. Announcing plans to issue a legal notice followed by a High Court petition, Ferreira highlighted that unsafe roads have already caused injuries to multiple individuals.

The MLA stressed that infrastructure issues must be addressed without unnecessary delays, urging government departments to take responsibility. He reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that road safety and public welfare are treated as fundamental rights rather than depending on political will.
