CM Pramod Sawant Denounces Allegations in ₹130 Crore “Fatorda to London” Scam as Baseless.

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant strongly denied allegations linking him to a ₹130 crore land scam, known as the “Fatorda to London” scam. Speaking at a press conference, he dismissed the claims as a smear campaign designed to tarnish his image and hinder Goa’s development.

The allegations involve illegal land conversions tied to high-profile individuals. Sawant highlighted his administration’s efforts to maintain transparency, pointing out the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT). This SIT has already registered 99 cases and arrested multiple suspects in land fraud cases, demonstrating the government’s focus on rooting out corruption.

Cabinet ministers Subhash Shirodkar and Rohan Khaunte supported Sawant, calling the allegations baseless. They accused political opponents of trying to disrupt the progress made under the current leadership.

Sawant reaffirmed his commitment to Goa’s development and anti-corruption measures. He urged the public to rely on verified information, adding that the government welcomes constructive criticism but will not entertain baseless defamation.
