Goa’s Chief Minister Pramod Sawant strongly cautioned the opposition, particularly the AAP party, against dragging his wife into the job recruitment scam allegations. CM Sawant clarified that he was proactive in addressing the matter, ensuring that police had the autonomy to conduct a transparent investigation. He acknowledged that those accused of job-related scams were swiftly apprehended and emphasized the transparency of the ongoing police investigation.
Sawant accused the opposition of levelling baseless allegations against both himself and his wife, claiming these accusations were politically motivated attempts to destabilize his government. The opposition, especially AAP, has raised serious claims about corruption within recruitment processes, accusing senior BJP members, including CM Sawant’s wife, of accepting bribes for jobs.
