Social activist Rajesh Dabholkar has raised concerns about the ongoing traffic congestion at Verem Junction, which he believes is mainly caused by the construction of the Porvorim flyover. He noted that the roadwork and diversions have caused severe delays, affecting daily commuters.
Dabholkar suggested that authorities should put in place better traffic management solutions, such as clearer signage, traffic marshals, and awareness programs to guide drivers through the diversions and reduce congestion. He also emphasized the importance of completing the flyover project quickly to restore smooth traffic flow.
While acknowledging the importance of infrastructure development, Dabholkar stressed the need to minimize public inconvenience during construction.
