The Directorate of Social Welfare in Goa is set to honor 12 individuals for their outstanding contributions to social work. These social workers, selected from each of Goa’s talukas, will be recognized for their efforts in improving the lives of underprivileged communities. Each of the 12 awardees will receive a cash prize of ₹25,000, a certificate, a shawl, and a coconut as a token of appreciation. This recognition aims to highlight the impactful social work being carried out across the state and encourage others to contribute to social welfare.
Applications for the awards are being accepted, and individuals are encouraged to submit their work through the prescribed format by the end of November. The awards will be presented on December 19, coinciding with Goa Liberation Day.
