Congress leader Girish Chodankar has raised concerns about Prashant S.P. Tendolkar, the former State Chief Information Commissioner (SCIC), claiming pension benefits that he believes he is not entitled to. Chodankar has filed a complaint with Chief Secretary Dr. V. Candavelou, asking for a review of a decision related to Tendolkar’s pension, which was made in WP/433/2021.
Chodankar explains that Tendolkar served for only a short time as the Additional President of the Goa State Administrative Tribunal and wasn’t receiving any pension before becoming SCIC. He also points out that employees who join after January 1, 2004, are under the New Pension Scheme and are not entitled to pension benefits.
Chodankar questions why the government has not taken action, calling for a review or appeal in the case. He also warns that there are many issues with the government’s handling of public funds, accusing them of being negligent in their responsibilities.
