Goan social activist and poet Shankar Polji has addressed pressing issues in a video titled “Kavita KIDEK TUMI VOGI ASA?”. Polji explained that he has shifted to expressing his concerns through poetry after witnessing continued silence from educated professionals, including teachers, doctors, and advocates, on corruption in Goa.

In his video, he criticized the lack of action against various scams in the state, such as land scams, conversion scams, and job scams. Polji urged these professionals, often seen as pillars of society, to take a stand and leverage their influence to raise awareness. He emphasized the responsibility of advocates to use their legal expertise, doctors to harness their trust in communities, and teachers to instill values of right and wrong.

Polji warned that silence from such groups enables the government to act with impunity. His call to action included uniting skills and resources to aid activists in protecting Goa from further degradation. His plea underscores the dangers of apathy among educated individuals in the fight against systemic corruption..
