Goa Congress Vice President Sunil Kawthankar has raised concerns over Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant’s decision to utilize a chartered flight for a political event. Kawthankar questioned the appropriateness of using public funds for such purposes, especially considering the state’s financial situation.
In a statement, Kawthankar remarked, “How can CM afford a chartered flight when the state has a loan of ₹34,000 crore?” He emphasized that the government’s priority should be addressing the state’s debt and financial challenges rather than funding political events.
The controversy centers around the use of a chartered flight for a political event, which Kawthankar argues is an inappropriate use of public resources. He has called for transparency and accountability in the government’s spending decisions.
