MLA Deviya Rane Chairs 112th Board Meeting of Goa Forest Development Corporation to Enhance Eco-Tourism and Cashew Plantations
Panaji, Goa — In a significant move towards sustainable development, MLA Deviya Rane chaired the 112th Board meeting of the Goa Forest Development Corporation (GFDC) this week, focusing on a comprehensive review of the corporation’s functioning and key areas for improvement. The meeting emphasized the advancement of eco-tourism projects and the enhancement of cashew plantations as part of Goa’s broader mission to promote sustainable practices while preserving the state’s rich biodiversity.
During the meeting, Rane expressed her commitment to transforming Goa into a leader in eco-tourism. “Our goal is to develop eco-tourism in a way that benefits both the environment and the local community. By enhancing our cashew plantations and advancing eco-tourism initiatives, we aim to create job opportunities and support local economies,” she stated.
