Roads have become death traps for commuters. Contractors who dig roads for construction don’t adhere to safety norms, and the government doesn’t hold them accountable or ensure they take necessary measures. This negligence has resulted in the loss of lives of people traveling on these roads. Todays incident in Dabolim, where a person died after falling into an excavated pit, is shocking. The government bears full responsibility for this mess, having failed to ensure proper safety measures, lighting, and signage. It’s a total failure on their part.
