AAP MLA Cruz Silva has raised concerns over a recently circulated video featuring Suleman Siddiqui, the main accused in a land scam case, alleging coercion by AAP Goa President Amit Palekar. Silva questioned the video’s authenticity, suggesting it may have been produced under duress while Siddiqui was in police custody. He stated, “Suleman Siddiqui’s first video was genuine. The one that has come out now is a video asked to be made against Palekar.
Silva criticized the government’s focus on investigating Palekar, arguing that it diverts attention from ongoing land scams and the need for comprehensive investigations into all involved parties. He accused the government of employing diversionary tactics to shield the true perpetrators, stating, “The statement of the Chief Minister proves this.”
The controversy began when Siddiqui, initially arrested in connection with a land scam, released a video implicating senior officials. Subsequently, a second video emerged in which he accused Palekar of coercion. This development has intensified political tensions in Goa, with various leaders calling for transparency and accountability in the investigation.
