Tara Kerkar, a former Mormugao chairperson and prominent social activist, has spoken out about the ongoing job scam in Goa, which has exposed deep-rooted corruption. She emphasized that many of the individuals caught in the scam, such as Pooja Naik, are mere pawns, with powerful figures still lurking in the background. Kerkar has pointed to a particular individual, suspected of orchestrating the scam, who is reportedly based in Sankhali.

According to Kerkar, these individuals managed to infiltrate the offices of high-ranking government officials, raising suspicions of political involvement. She also highlighted past allegations of misuse of funds by politicians, which were swept under the rug. With several arrests already made, Kerkar urges the Chief Minister to target the true masterminds behind this scheme​.
