The Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited (IPSCDL) and the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) conducted an urban tree management workshop on November 22, 2024, at Francisco Luis Gomes Garden in Campal. The event aimed to raise awareness and enhance skills for sustainable urban forestry practices. Participants included urban planners, environmentalists, and local residents.
Key sessions focused on pruning techniques, pest management, and tree health assessments. The workshop is part of broader efforts to address concerns about tree preservation following urban development projects in Panaji. This initiative also introduced the “Tree App,” designed to monitor the growth and health of newly planted saplings in the city, promoting accountability and public engagement.
